Miscellaneous pieces, 1916-1967.

Collection of photocopied essays written by E. B. White for the New Yorker, the Cornell Daily Sun, and other publications. Except for "Talk of the Town," all of the New Yorker pieces were copied on October 31, 1968, from the E.B. White scrapbooks in the library of the New Yorker magazine. The "Talk of the Town" pieces, copied from the New Yorker, were attributed to White by Miss Ebba Johnson, librarian at the New Yorker magazine.

American author and humorist E.B. White was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., and graduated from Cornell. After graduation he worked on odd jobs and travelled; while working as a copywriter, he submitted some essays to the newly founded New Yorker, which led to his long-term relationship with the magazine.
